The PlayStation 5 and the new PlayStation VR will certainly be announced early next year. The canvas catches fire at the slightest gust of wind and it is a real soap opera to follow new rumours and other official information. You must have already seen this Brazilian patent of Sony Interactive Entertainment pass through and you had not yet been told about it. We might as well tell you right away, if we skipped this information, it was because the design didn’t seem to match that of a NextGen console. The fact that the design of the patent (very real) displays several diodes on the front indicates that it would be a development kit for the PS5.
As we know, development kits are always very far from the final design of their console. As a reminder, the final design patent for the PS4 Pro was published on December 5, 2017, almost a year after the launch of the PS4 Pro, announced by Andrew House at the PlayStation Meeting held in New York on September 7, 2016.
